The three-pronged attack was a surprise that the British planned during the Revolutionary War. It was planned by General Burgoyne of the British Army, it involved himself, Colonel Leger and General Howe. However, the plan failed when Howe and Leger abandoned the attack for other reasons; Howe to attack Philadelphia and Leger was defeated while on his way to Albany where the three-pronged attack was planned to hit the continental army.
